November update

I’ve been doing quite a good job of tackling the backlog of submissions over the last month and recent additions to the website have included collections of photos from the 1980s and 1990s, a wonderful honeymoon tale from 1980, a transcript of an article on the Broads from 1886 and the first batch of photographs dating from the Edwardian era. Progress was rather hampered after I spent four days last week virtually horizontal, suffering from acute vertigo (apparently!), and the rest of the week feeling incredibly lousy because of it, but I am now making a start on captioning the photographs from the Benson Collection 1902-1912 and I hope to get those uploaded to Broadland Memories within the next week!

Whilst laid up last week, I did manage to make a start on the next batch of photographs that I have to work on – a lovely collection which date from the late 1920s and feature holidays taken aboard the motor cruisers “Seamew” which was hired from A.G. Ward at Thorpe, and “Hickling” which came from H.T. Percivals of Horning …. previews will follow once I finish working on the Benson Collection!
