I have lost hours of my life recently on the British Pathe website! What an incredible resource their archives are …. over 90, 000 old newsreels and films dating from the 1890s to the 1970s featuring a multitude of subjects are available to preview online. From vintage motor shows and car racing to some very tongue in cheek films on swinging London fashion in the 1960s – you name it, there is probably a clip somewhere on Pathe!
A search for Norfolk Broads related items brings up quite a few fascinating gems – below is one of my latest discoveries. It is a news item on the fine art of Dwile Flonking which was filmed at the Wherry Inn at Geldeston in 1967.
