The Beauchamp Arms Hotel at Buckenham Ferry c1910. It was named after the Beauchamp Proctor family who owned the land on both sides of the river where the ferry operated - Sir William Beauchamp Proctor was listed as the Lord of the Manor in Whites directories of 1845 and 1883. The chain ferry was withdrawn from service in 1938. You can read more about the history of Buckenham Ferry in this Broadland Memories blog post.
