The new Broadland Memories Blog is launched!   The new blog will run alongside the main Broadland Memories website and will give details of what is going on behind the scenes - latest submissions, forthcoming additions, sneak previews of new photographs etc., and will include other interesting items and articles of a historic nature which may not necessarily make it onto here. It will also give me the opportunity to provide links and a little more background information to other websites which contain old photographs, information, videos etc. of Broadland’s past. The blog is fully searchable but the Broadland Memories own site search should now automatically search both sites simultaneously.

The Broadland Memories Blog has moved! I have decided to move the blog to a self hosted home here on Broadland Memories as it will give me more control over the content and should also make it easier for visitors to leave comments. It looks a little different, but all the older posts have been transferred over and it seems to be running well. The most important thing is that the URL has changed ... if you have the blog saved in your favourites then please click on the link above, or from the home page, and then re-save it.

New Broadland Memories DVD released!Boating on the Norfolk Broads in the 1930s” features two cine films taken by one family over the course of two holidays on the Broads in 1932 and 1933 onboard motor cruisers which were hired from Herbert Woods boatyard at Potter Heigham. The film runs for approximately 45 minutes and includes a short introduction. Shot on 16mm cine film, this amateur footage gives a fascinating glimpse into a bygone era and captures the essence of a family boating holiday of the era.
