The Broadland Memories website was launched in November 2006 and is an online archive which gathers together photographs, personal memories and the history of boating for pleasure on the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads from Victorian times through to the end of the 20th century. From holiday snaps to old postcards, stores lists to boat plans, vintage news cuttings to articles on various aspects of the local area …. you’ll find a wealth of Broadlands history available to view online.
The Broadland Memories Blog runs alongside the main website and will keep you up to date with what is happening behind the scenes, give sneak previews of new submissions and let you know about the latest additions to the website itself. I will also be adding links to other interesting websites, photographs and videos relating to the history of the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads.
I welcome any comments or further information you may have on the subjects covered here on the blog – please be aware that there may be a delay in your response appearing on the blog as all comments need to be “approved”. This is simply to try to weed out the spammers! Please also note that I have had to adopt a strict policy of not allowing external internet links within the comments section and any responses which include them will not appear.
