It seems like ages since I’ve had the chance to post on here or add any new material to the main website, so I thought I’d post a quick update on what’s been happening!
Firstly, I must send out an apology to all who have sent me photos, personal memories etc. over the last few months and have been waiting for them to appear on Broadland Memories. As I mentioned previously, I am usually tied up elsewhere during the summer months and struggle to find much time to do any website work but the last few months have been rather trying to say the least! In May, the chickenpox virus which had been lurking, dormant, for nearly 45 years decided to manifest itself again in the form of shingles! Not much fun at all and I was rather poorly for a couple of months. Having just started to get over that I managed to trap a nerve in my lower back whilst getting out of the bath and was laid up once again! Not only was I unable to sit in front of the PC for any great length of time, but it also meant no boating! So far this year I have clocked up a grand total of just two days afloat …. the withdrawal symptoms have been terrible! The latter issue will soon be rectified as I have just booked a boat for a week’s holiday in October – and I can’t wait!
Now that I am finally managing to catch up on garden chores, I hope that I can resume work on the website in the very near future and will be finding the odd snippet to post on the blog in the meantime. If you have sent me anything over the last six months or so then please bear with me …. it will all appear on Broadland Memories as soon as I am able.
I’m looking forward to getting started on the new additions, and finally adding the next batch of “Then & Now” photos which I promised back at the beginning of July!!
