Unfortunately, I am unable to find a solution to the background display issues that a handful of MSIE 8 are having with the Broadland Memories website at the moment. I have tried various suggestions and fixes, none of which have worked! Although it does seem to be a very small minority of IE8 users only, I would like to try and resolve the problem, so I have decided to upgrade my web design software to the latest edition which has features that should hopefully fix it. Until I have the software set up, I am unsure just how long it will take me to get the website up and running in it, and to make all the necessary tweaks and changes as I will have to do a partial site rebuild … it could take a couple of weeks, or a couple of months!
I will post an update on here when I know just how much work is going to be involved. I am currently in the middle of getting another collection of photos onto the website, which I will need to finish now before I can make any changes, but the extra work needed to sort out the website will mean that further progress on getting through the backlog of photographs will have to wait. If you have sent me photographs or other items, then I can only apologise, but they will be uploaded to the main site as soon as I am able!
